Join NACCHO on Thursday, April 4th from 3-4pm ET, to learn about the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) data exchange standard and its potential for improving data access for public health. 

In this presentation, Altarum’s Public Health Interoperability SME Craig Newman will explore the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) data exchange standard and its potential for improving data access for public health. They will describe the nature of HL7, the organization responsible for the FHIR standard. The presentation will also explain the basics of FHIR and illustrate real-world examples of its use. Lastly, concrete next steps will be provided to help local public health agencies engage with and benefit from the FHIR community.
