Max Burke has 30 years of experience in health care management and consulting. He currently serves as Deputy for Alarum’s Program Analysis and Evaluation Practice Area and Director of one of Altarum’s three mission projects, encompassing extensive assessments of service quality dimensions and their impact on military members’ health and well-being.
In previous engagements, Mr. Burke has led over 40 engagements, including many with the TRICARE Management Activity (TMA), an organization that provides oversight and guidance to the TRICARE Program, a triple-option health plan serving 9.2 million beneficiaries. In a recent example project, Mr. Burke provided consultation on the implementation of the TRICARE Global Remote contract that manages TRICARE program services to beneficiaries in over 200 countries world-wide. In an earlier example, he served as key analyst on a task that assessed the quality of care provided by the TRICARE Senior Prime enrollees.
Mr. Burke’s career has spanned the public and private sectors and, in addition to over 14 years with Altarum, has included assignments as medical squadron commander, hospital administrator, inspector general, medical group manager, and managed care executive.
