As a nonprofit research organization, Altarum Institute invests vigorously in its mission to solve complex systems problems to improve human health.  Our internal research and development (“IRAD”) program provides up to one million dollars each year to support staff in researching novel methods and developing new knowledge that advances our mission and better meets the needs of our clients.  We also seek to improve our nation’s health systems and contribute to the community at large through our Mission Projects Initiative.  The multi-year, $7 million Mission Projects Initiative is designed to rapidly apply existing knowledge and methods to solve pressing health care issues that, until now, have not been systematically addressed.
