This webcast provides full audio and video coverage of the June 17, 2010 Altarum Institute Policy Roundtable entitled "From Right to Responsibility-What Does the "American Experience" Mean For the Success of Health Care Reform?" This Roundtable considered America's history of lifting up and fiercely defending the right of the individual, as well as whether that collective history will allow a fundamental and sustained shift in how we think about health, from “me and my” to “us and our” as the basis for planning and practicing health policy. Speakers included Jonathan Peck, President, Institute for Alternative Futures; Catherine D. DeAngelis, Editor-in-Chief, JAMA and Scientific Publications and Multimedia Applications Professor; Sheila Burke, Adjunct Lecturer in Public Policy and Faculty Research Fellow, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University; and Robert P. Kelch (Panel Moderator), Executive Vice President for Medical Affairs Emeritus, University of Michigan.
