Altarum Institute manages the Learning Partnership, which is supported by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. The partnership is composed of state asthma coalitions that use evidence-based knowledge to develop, implement, and evaluate action plans that specifically address disparities among racial- and ethnic-minority children and children from low-income families. A process rather than a discrete event, the Learning Partnership has included site visits, an Institute meeting, technical assistance, and a continuous knowledge transfer network, including a Web portal and quarterly Web conferences.
