Deputy Director, Business Development, Health Care Analytics

As Deputy Director of Business Development for Health Care Analytics, Dr. Elaine Ehresmann works with organizations and systems addressing health care and health-related financial problems in the areas of program analysis and evaluation and forecasting economic analysis. Her work includes designing and facilitating high-level meetings to develop concrete steps to achieve systems change in the health care finance arena; providing survey methodology, data analysis, modeling, and economic forecasting to build Federal, State, and/or local capacity; and conducting research and environmental scans to provide recommendations for policy and program development. Her work often focuses on improving health care finance outcomes and increasing access to services for the Department of Defense.
Dr. Ehresmann currently oversees various projects within Health Care Analytics. She is involved in business development efforts for various practice areas, and supports branding of Health Care Analytics with people within Altarum and external to Altarum.
Prior to Altarum Institute, Dr. Ehresmann served on active duty with the Navy Medical Department for 28 years and retired in 2008. In 2008, she was a Senior Principal overseeing a large health systems management pipeline of business for a small consulting firm in the metropolitan area.
Dr. Ehresmann holds a doctorate in public policy with a specialization in health care policy from George Mason University in Arlington, VA. Her dissertation research focused on A Marketing Process Model: An Analysis of the National Capital Area’s Coordinated Care Program. She holds a master’s in health services administration and a bachelor’s of science in business management from Salve Regina University in Newport, RI.
