Patricia H. Ferguson


Senior Vice President and Corporate Officer for Human Resources, Information Technology & Facilities

Ms. Ferguson oversees Human Resources, Information Technology, Facilities, and Security for Altarum. She is responsible for guiding Altarum’s strategies around talent, culture, and organizational leadership. Her teams design and implement programs that attract, develop, engage, and effectively maximize talent to facilitate the needs of a focused, dynamic, and growing Institute. Altarum’s offices and programs are signed to enhance our collaborative corporate culture. Under her leadership, Altarum has been recognized for its workplace culture, employee-focused benefits, and work-life flexibility. 

Ms. Ferguson understands and supports the important role information technology plays at the Institute. She is responsible for ensuring Altarum leverages technology to advance its mission and that the programs within her groups align and support the strategic goals of the Institute.

Ms. Ferguson first joined Altarum in 2001 as the Director of Human Resources. In 2003, she was appointed Senior Vice President and Corporate Officer. She has more than 25 years of experience in leadership and organizational development, human resource management, and strategic planning. She has served on the Board of the Greater Ann Arbor Area Society for Human Resource Management and was its President in 1990 and 1991.

Ms. Ferguson holds a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University.
